Simple Inspirations

not in actuality.  I am amidst exams.  That means late night study periods (when Asher allows it to happen anyways), butt in chair for hours and hours and hours.  Ears plugged into my computer where I listen to the Twilight score (not to be mistake with the album).  Carter Burwell is a genius.  Every now and then when I lose focus on why I have to study so much and live so little I go to my grades page ad see the a+ I got in Geomorphology (my first exam this term) and remember..grades baby.  They get me into Education next year.  Then I look at the kids and remember that I want great things for them..trips, college funds, opportunities…..and its all worth it even if it doesn’t always feel that way.

I have some pictures to upload soon….Wendell bought the kids a quad and they LOVE it.  Especially Asher who goes for a ride with Daddy nearly every morning and evening. 

I also have to mention that I went with Chey and Sophie (her friend) to see the Half Blood Prince.  Two thumbs up (though the bok is WAYYYYY better of course).  I love Luna she is hilarious.  Totally makes the movies.  Saw the poster for New Moon and jokingly asked Chey if she thoguht it was too early to get tickets…considering its not out until November LOL! 

Anyhoo..must study.  Must study.  (if someone is free to call and give me a pep talk that would be great, with only 10 days left before I wrap up all my exams the DRIVE is waning).

played baseball on purpose.   Sure it was with a foamy bat and huge pink ball, but it is the first time in all 28 years of my life that I subjected myself to any sport which relied upon speed and accuracy.  To say me and sports are not compatible may be an understatement.  Its like I lack the ability to think, run, catch, and aim without yelling like a sissy and ducking.  Give me university biochem finals, teenage girls and boy issues, even grape jiuce on my white carpet (did she say that?)…and I manage better than with a ball of any shape or size.  Me playing sports is actually illegal in 29 of the continental us states and 5 canadian provinces.

However, even though Dad and Zoe beat Me, Chey and Freedom I did make it around the bases five times which means that by some act of God I hit the ball five times..in the right direction.  I even managed to pitch without walking everyone and run without having a coronary (to cheyennes great surprise)

If you knew me in school and you did not think there was a God in heaven before this post…you do now.

My blog has been on an off for weeks and it works only occasionally.  You have no idea how suprised I was that it loaded today.

Makes me wish I had something interesting to write.

What have we been up to ya ask?

Um..exam.  Did well.

Art History Thesis paper..90%

Canadian Desert.  Had a blast. Asher walked all 8 km himself and was AMAZING.  So as long as we can move where we have a limit desert like environment in our backyard and he may finally have somewhere he can run off all that energy.  There are pics below.  The hill with the speck rolling down it..that is Wendell.  Ha ha.

Watched Twilght.  Again.  and Again.  (I also use the score to study…its perfect)

Reading (at the same time no less…) Skin Trader by Laurell K Hamilton, Lover Avenged by J R Ward, Eragon by Paolini, and Inkheart.

Studying my buttocks off for exams and finishing up a paper.

Family minus me but plus my MIL are going to Tinkertown Today while I bond with Treaties 1 through 7 and the Indian Act of 18 something.

This song has been laying on my computer for days now. It speaks to me so CLEARLY. Especially when things feel overwhelming and you are sure that you are going to drop all the balls. I just remember…in any season, you are still God, I have a reason to sing…I have victory and I can do anything I put my mind to because of Christ Jesus that lives in me.
