Makes you think twice about answering your phone eh???

Asher, AbbyFebruary 26, 2009 9:54 am

I have been trying to get Abby to buy herself a toy with birthday money from my Mom for a few weeks.  She is so sweet, she picks up the toys, holds them, cuddles them, and then tells them bye and puts them back on the shelf.  Well trained or what. Well yesterday I went to Dollarama to get batteries and my Abby decided to shop..all by herself.  She chose a bunch of stuff..this outfit she picked out not only was sooo cute but matched the little crocs she picked out too. Are these choes not the cutest ever???

And I have to ask….is this not was mischief looks like…(he moved the whole shoe rack three feet and proceeded to throw the shoes on the wall and floor)

Yup, Chey is now 12.  We had a sleepover on Friday for her birthday.  They went on a ski trip during the day, it was a field trip for school.  They seemed to have had a great time.  They came off the bus laughing and horsing around even though they had been gone for like 12 hours.  Then, we did cake and presents, they watched a movie, played some vids, Mom fell into bed exhausted at 2:30 only to be woken up at 5:30 by a screaming Asher and faint giggles from downstairs.  Some of the girls were STILL UP!!  They all made it to about 5 and dropped like flies.  They slept until about 10:30 when I woke them up with fresh blueberry muffins and orders to slowly, pack, eat, and get ready for parents around noon.  It was a great day.  Even if it means I am losing my first baby…I am gaining a great friend (when we are now butting head anyways). She is now a HUGE book geek, muffin loving, High School Musical and Hannah Montana loving young lady whose feet are bigger than mine, it just as tall as me for the most part, with a quick wit, dry sarcastic personality, but with a heart of gold and one of the msot awesome big sisters ever.

Side note…Asher says Abby now.  It is too cute. And yes, I actually made the whole cake from scratch..watch out Martha Stewart.

This is his method of hiding from me when I try to get him ready for bed.  Pretty effective since I can’t even reach him.  Stinker.

Its true.  There is no better smell then the newborn smell. In my own mind this smell is intermingled with Johnson’s Baby Shampoo so strongly they are hard to separate.  I remember when Chey came home from the hospital and had her first bath (that was 12 years ago next Monday), that smell has captivated me since then (perhaps even before that). This is why I was so excited to be able to try out two new Johnson’s baby products through Mom Central to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Johnson’s No More Tears (simply one of the greatest gifts to give a Mom with a squirmy son who rubs his spaghetti in his hair at every available opportunity.

The two products I got to try out were the Head to Toe Foaming Body Wash and Baby Bubble Bath and Wash.  Now there are two things I have to say about these products..they make you want to wash your babies after ever meal and hold them close and bury your nose in the crook of their neck so you can smell them and their skin feels so soft after using them.  I used them on both Asher and Abby and they loved them.  Abby loved being able to spread the foam herself…she washed her whole body herself, even her own hair with the bubble bath.  Asher loved the bubble bath..it actually bubbled.  I just love them both and I mean this when I say they will be staples in my cupboard until my youngest two are old enough to read the labels and ask why I am making them use baby body wash. They are soap-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested, and is specially designed for newborns (and anyone too old to know better,or use them anyhoo because they are so amazing)

If you want to learn more about the products..check out this link…BABY

Yesterday was this little girls 3rd Birthday…

She was too cute.  She was so excited for days, talking about presents and cakes and parties.  She went to the mall in the morning and Daddy bought her some Disney sunglasses to kick start the festivities.  She had a great afternoon and although she still cried when we sang happy birthday she managed to blow out her own candles this year.
