She finished chewing her two potty treats (yes, I bribe her although she doesn’t really need it) and says..potty treats??  A more??

To which I reasonably reply "But Abby you have to wait until you have to go pee again to get potty treats."

To which she bats her long lashes at me, crooks her head, smiles and tells me "just to homework".

Here I sit covered in babyfood, wearing plaid pants and a t shirt that states "Its all fun and games until the flying monkeys steal your eye", my fingers full of pray paint and crazy glue, my hair looking like I went to Frankensteins barber shop, eating fruit loops out of a washed out margarine container because I forgot to eat breakfast and cooking something would take too long when its already 1:30.

Life is good.

First of all..muffins and cookies.  I challenge you all to do a good deed.  I was looking after the neighbours animals for them while they were away at their MIL/Mothers funeral.  I made a tag and me and Chey baked some goodies for them and dropped them off the night before they got home.  Doing nice things makes me feel all warm and mushy inside. Chey says: Really?  Mother says: Oh yes! I feel so good that I want to make sharks with laser beams so that I may RULE THE EARTH! *heeheehee* Everything in blue was added by Chey while I was sweeping.  *ahemcrazyahem*

This picture was taken this weekend with one thought in mind…..OHMYGOODNESSSNOWISCOMINGSOON!  And yes it has to be capitalized and all in one word..that how upset I am that there will 5 feet of snow on the ground soon (and by soon I mean ever).  Blah.  Pretty though if you overlook the snow part.  I love fall colors.

Here are the three youngest girls at the forks..ain’t they cute.  Look just like their mother.

Here is Daddy and his four kiddo’s outside the childrens museum, we walked around the Forks and stuff while Zoe went to a birthday party inside .  I have another picture to share once I can get Sophie to sit long enough for me to take her picture….but that is a work in progress.

Just click the pics for a larger view, something wacky is up with my images today :(

Wish me luck.

How is it that we spend the first 20 or so years of our lives trying to sleep less so we can do more.  You know, watching a movie at 2 in the morning is always better than watching it at 7 in the evening, playing video games is always more fun when its dark and you should be sleeping.  There is some deep seated human instinct that says SLEEP LATER, FUN NOW.  There is only one problem with this intrinsic instinct. LATER you will have kids, LATER they will not sleep, LATER you will not sleep. And the three hours that used to get you by will not feel the same in 15 minute increments resting your head on a desk, leaning against the fridge or laying on the floor and letting those little bundles of energy pull your hair and chew on your arm so you know where they are while you rest your eyes.

Or, am I just getting old???  *gasp*.

A snail walks into the police department looking pretty rough.  He is seated and a uniform pulls out a pad of paper and a pen and waits.

The snail replied, "I was mugged by two turtles…."

"Tell us exactly what happened and describe your attackers.."

"Well it all happened so fast……"

Liberty Mutual has this awesome website that I heard about through Mom Central.  Its called the Responsibility Project, and its got an amazing idea behind it.  It began with a commercial which showed everyday people doing things for eachother, and this jumped started the site which is aimed at getting people thinking about responsilibilty and doing what is right. The site contains a series of short films and some great information that I suggest you take the time to look over with your kids.  There are so many great lessons to be learned, and the site makes it a personal but fun interaction.

There are a few short films you can choose from a whole bunch, but my two favorite ones were The Hot Seat and Mandy and Lester.  In the Hot Seat there is a war between the office bunnies for a good office chair, there is a bunch of inter swapping and a bunny that is even too scared to go to the bathroom without her chair for fear of ending up with the broken one.  Finally as the bunnies come to head over the chairs the responsible bunny bring forward his chair and offers it to them all to bring peace and takes the broken chair back to his desk.

Mandy and Lester is too cute.  Its about the proverbial "outsider" boy and girl.  Mandy drops two boxes of her girls scout cookies and Lester picks them up and gets roughed up trying to hold on to them for her.  To make a short story even shorter he finds her address on a lost poster and drops off the cookies.  She then ends up at his door where he buys the cookies he brought back and she hads him the glasses he lost protecting her cookies.  Its a touchy feely one.  I would watch it first if I were you.

When you are done watching the films there is a resource section where you can find thought provoking questions as well as discussions that will help you define and share your version of responsibility with your children. It gets two thumbs up from Mommy. While your there make sure to check out the blog :o )

Yup, today the girls were back at school, Chey is in Grade 6, Zoe in Grade 3, and Freedom in Grade 2.  I walked them each to their classrooms, got them into their desks, took Cheys lunch back..she had forgotten it (Yeah, I know first day of school and everything LOL!)  Abby cried pretty much the whole time beause there were too many adults and Asher smiled at them.  I got only a few pictures, and they are not as great as I would have liked but its hard to justify trying to get the *perfect* picture when your two year old is yelling MOMMY!!! MOMMY!!!  I NO WANIT! But lo and behold, here you go….
